Digital Reality is the premier provider of white and blue light scanning services. With over forty-five years of combined experience in the optical metrology field, we provide the highest quality scan data in an efficient and timely manner. Our experience base covers Aerospace, Power Generation, Oil and Gas, Investment Casting, Injection Molding, Tooling, Automotive, and more. We have scanned everything from injected molded buttons to full-scale aircraft, both in our office and at customers’ facilities.

About us
Digital Reality was founded in 2010. After working in the advance manufacturing world for many years its founders David Wade and Kevin Rau started Digital Reality with one goal: Provide the most accurate and comprehensive data available with the highest level of customer service. Over the last decade Digital Reality has performed projects around the globe. From Oman to the Amazon Jungle Digital Reality’s take has always been, “have scanner will travel”
Digital Reality, located in Alvin, TX. Sits on 5 acres. Its facilities include:

Scanning
Digital Reality uses GOM’s ATOS units to perform 3-dimensional surface scanning. This is the process of projecting a structured light pattern onto an object, while using cameras to take images at the same time, and thus producing a stereo 3-dimensional point array.
Photogrammetry
Photogrammetry is the process of determining point and feature locations in 3-dimensional space, by utilizing photographic images taken from many different viewing angles. Photogrammetry can be utilized as a portable CMM with great accuracy and speed.
Digital Assembly
Digital Assembly is the process of taking an assembly (either in pieces, or fully assembled) and generating a 3D scan of all of its components. This data is then used for Fit and Finish, Process Tolerance, Interface and Clearance Checks, or determining how much shimming, gasket material, or grinding will be needed to make the related parts.
Analysis
Digital Reality Offers the following types of analysis: First Article Layout, Production Inspection, “As Manufactured” to “As Designed”, Material Thickness, Part to Part, and GD&T Layout.
Over the last decade, Digital Reality has successfully completed more than 3500 projects and scanned more than 40000 parts.
